Venturing in the world of BIM was far from evident for Soudal, mainly producing adhesives, PU-foams and sealants and selling them through distribution and retail; lower interest products for a specifier. Our preframe for window installation offered a better opportunity, but creating BIM-objects seemed daunting, as was losing control over them on online libraries.
ThorbiQ offered us a way out. Thanks to their practical and engineering background, combined with some serious knowledge on BIM and digital design, we soon were able to create our own Soudal branded BIM-platform.
