A BIM object library for every building actor with Techbim and ThorbiQ
Through the Techbim initiative, all building actors are able to access and use the ‘common generic parametric objects library’. This BIM standardisation initiative, initiated by the Belgian federations Techlink, ORI, IFMA Belgium and the Belgian Building Confederation, creates the fundamentals for building actors in Belgium to further invest in digital collaboration for technical installations (MEP – Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing). As such, a generic object library that can streamline and strengthen the digital collaboration between the different actors throughout the building lifecycle will be available.
ThorbiQ puts its digital cloud platform technology at the disposal – free of charge – to create the ideal setting for the initiative to thrive. We feel such initiatives only deserve the best. The library is accessible through http://bim.techbim.be.
Publish your data on the ThorbiQ Platform in your proprietary branded BIM/digital Suite and unlock the true potential of BIM by means of a perfect mix of collaboration and technology. In no time you can provide a user friendly, consistent, trusted digital service to architects, designers, engineers and contractors that is smoothly integrating with their BIM platform(s).
The only thing ThorbiQ requires from you to unlock the whole Belgian market is data, which could come straight from your databases or spreadsheets.
In a second phase you can further expand your BIM/digital suite with more in-depth manufacturer specific data and smart data-driven applications, such as a configurator, checker, calculator, requester, viewer and much, much more.
Your BIM/digital suite is now a powerful sales & marketing tool providing you with in-depth insights and metrics about the ‘who, what, when and how” of your products and solutions.
Your sales channels will benefit immediately by applying your own branded BIM/digital suite in their daily interactions with customers, partners and prospects.
ThorbiQ is ready to make this happen for you.

As from the moment Techbim makes this service available, you will be able to download the Techbim plugin and load generic objects straight into your Revit environment.
As manufacturers embrace the generic objects library and complement it with their manufacturer specific data (and eventually content), you will easily navigate in your digital environment from a generic or even conceptual design to a detailed digital twin with manufacturer specific data (and even geometry), content and applications.
